What is acceptance? So in the dictionaries, acceptance is written as something like, it's a willingness to tolerate difficult situations, and I think the key word there is willingness. It's a willingness, it's a choice. It's something that we choose to do. We choose to see things as they truly are and not see them through this fantasy world. So acceptance is that willingness to tolerate a different, difficult situation.
We all find ourselves in difficult situations, accepting that difficult situation is our choice, and it isn't passive in any way. It isn't about failure. If I accept this, it means that I failed, or somebody else has won, or I'm not very good. We are so good at putting ourselves down. We're so good at having that inner voice, chitter, chattering away just, you know, being negative to us, acceptance isn't about that. It's not about being passive. It's a having that willingness to accept what is accept reality. And you know, we cannot fake acceptance our minds just won't let us you try to fake just like, Oh yeah, yeah, I accept, and you don't. Your mind won't let you do that. So when we accept, we have to truly accept.
